Save the Music

As part of a on-going commitment, Cox joined with VH-1 to support the music education programs.  For the sixth year, Cox and VH-1 raised and contributed $100,000 for music education programs in schools throughout the 4-parish area.  This program encompasses a musical instrument drive and fundraiser to restore and sustain in-school music programs.  In 2004, Hughes Elementary, Drew Elementary, and Wilson Elementary, each received a full band ensemble consisting of various instruments needed to complete the school’s needy band program.  After an initial five-year commitment, Cox and VH1 will have created over 19 music education programs totaling over $475,000 in instruments.
