Over the past 15 years, I know how much you have supported and enjoyed the Cox Inspirational Student Heroes Program. This program offers the opportunity for your school to select one (1) student hero to be honored for meeting special challenges, overcoming adversity, helping others or being a hero in many other ways. A Cox Hero submission form is all that is needed for you to select this year’s inspirational student hero to represent your school. Simply download the application, make your selection, completely fill out both pages of the hero submission form, include signatures from yourself and the student’s parent/guardian then mail or fax to us (both pages) by the close of business on Friday, April 18, 2008.

Cox New Orleans invites each school’s hero and four (4) accompanying adults - one (1) school representative (principal, teacher, or staff) and up to three (3) members of the hero’s family (parent, guardian, or relative) to attend the recognition breakfast. Please include the names of those confirmed to attend when you submit your hero submission form. Due to space limitations, we will not be able to accept any additional names to attend the recognition breakfast.

This program is enthusiastically supported by all leaders of public, private and parochial schools including local public school superintendents in Jefferson, Orleans, St. Bernard and St. Charles parishes as well in the Catholic Schools of New Orleans. Your full support and participation is encouraged for this worthwhile program that gives the everyday heroes of our community a chance to shine for their efforts and accomplishments.
