AUDITION INFORMATION:
Cox will be holding an open audition for public, private and parochial students from 17 parishes Cox serves in Louisiana interested in being a student on Cox 4’s monthly TV program "Cox Plugged In". Cox will be auditioning students who will be in Grades 9-12 for the coming 2010 - 2011 academic school year, for twenty-five (25) available student positions.
Cox is looking for energetic, talented, articulate, and out-going students who are interested in being on TV, learning about TV production and expressing their opinion.
Each student will receive an application, given a camera test and be interviewed the day of the auditions. Finalists will be notified and asked to return for a second audition to be set at a later date.
Dates are currently being arranged for audition dates in Baton Rouge and Lafayette sometime during the month of June.
NO ADVANCED PREPARATION REQUIRED.
ABOUT THE TV PROGRAM:
For the past 12 years, the CPI 
television show definitely gets the Cox educational message out to the community. The Cox Plugged In TV show is an informative, fast-paced and energetic hour program that promotes the good things happening in education and the community on a local level. Cox annually auditions over a hundred students to fill the student positions on the Cox Plugged In TV program. Selected student learn to produce segments, create news packages and discuss the show’s many topics, subjects and educational issues.
Over 25 students are accepted annually to participate in 12 monthly tapings. The CPI-TV program has won numerous national, state and local awards for its unique program content and mission.
We are proud many CPI students have gone on to major colleges and universities. Students have gone into a wide variety of career paths. Some have even gone into communications, broadcast journalism, production, etc. Those students graduating from college have found themselves in successful positions with numerous businesses, corporations, etc.
