CPI Newsletter

Cox Communications distributes 20,000 copies of the CPI Newsletter to over 325 schools, all administrators, school board members, principals, teachers, staff, plus government and community leaders throughout the 4 parishes. The monthly newsletter highlights all locally sponsored events and programs (i.e.: workshops, competitions, etc.) and ways educators can participate, a summary in brief of Cable in the Classroom programming, information on support materials and contests, unique web sites for educators and students, a CIC monthly programming calendar, and helpful tips to incorporate into the classroom. CPI Newsletter also includes a brief welcome from the company's Manager of Public Affairs regarding topical information pertinent to teachers as well as a spotlight on the CPI TV program, another component of the CPI Initiative, a 60 minute monthly program that actually brings the newsletter to life on Cox's award winning local origination channel - Cox 10..

With thorough research and input from more than 325 schools on how best to serve and inform educators, the CPI Newsletter is a successful component to providing the necessary information educators are in need of in their classroom.

To compliment the CPI Newsletter, Cox additionally distributes a monthly copy of the Cable in the Classroom magazine to each of the school librarians in the system. By providing the CIC magazine to the librarians, Cox hopes through the CPI Newsletter that educators will be encouraged to find out more of CIC programming and then seek additional resources through the librarian and the CIC Magazine.
